    Hi all,
Yesterday I downloaded Vista RC2 and burned the .iso file to DVD. The first part of the installation goes smoothly, but when the computer restarts, it hangs, and I have to reset it. When I reset it, the install program loads, and it tells me that since I restarted, the installation can't go on, and I need to reinstall from the beginning. If I do that, the same thing happens.

Anyone had this problem? Does RC1 work on the M115 or M105?

    Any help much appreciated!

Do you have 1gb of RAM? My M115 came with 512mb and I think you have to have 1GB to run Vista but I could be wrong.

yes, i had the exact same problem with both RC1 and RC2. I have 1 gb of ram. but ended having black screen after first vista boot. i am really dissappointed since i was expecting that this machine will install vista with no hassle.
i hope they can fix it in the final version.

I have two gigs of RAM and a M115 - 3094 and I have the problem. Do a search on Google for "RC1 Black Screen" you will get alot of feedback.

Its a video driver problem. On the Intel forums they say there will be video driver update in the next (non-public) build of Vista.

Other than that I love this laptop.....perfect size and great specs. I dont play PC games so the lack of a real 3d video card does not matter to me.
