This is really irritating me now. Before I upgraded to Vista Ultimate, I used to have 128mb of dedicated video memory in the display settings menu. Then, I had 32mb. I figured, maybe if I upgraded to the new Toshiba BIOS, it would set it back to the original 128mb, but no, nothing. srtest.com shows how well your games will perform, and it tells me I can't run UT2K4, a three year old game, and the test is right, I don't have enough video memory. I cannot run it under normal settings; it even lags at low settings. How do I get the 128mb of dedicated memory back? I want to be able to run old games on my laptop .I have the latest Intel drivers installed.

    Thanks

On one note, with my 128mb memory, I was able to run games like Black and White 2, so the whole DVMT thing doesn't really apply.

If you are going to run Vista, make sure you install the new version 5.x BIOS that is posted on Toshiba's support site. For XP, use the version 2.x BIOS. After upgrading your BIOS, it is a good idea to go into the BIOS settings, choose the option to set the system defaults, and then reconfigure your desired settings. In the past, this seemed to clear up problems for some people who were only showing 64MB video memory after a BIOS upgrade.

Nothing. I have the latesy 5.x BIOS for my M105, and the BIOS default settings thing doesn't do anything. It appears that Toshiba missed this bug with Vista.
