The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I originally purchased my 5205-S503 as an "open box buy" several years ago from Circuit City, and I never realized until now that the box did not contain the recovery CDs. I have now purchased a new laptop, and I'd like to wipe the Toshiba clean before listing it for sale.

    Can anyone lend me the discs? I'll gladly send them back as soon as I'm finished, since I don't intend to keep the laptop anyway. I only need to borrow them for a single use.
