    Hi,

I've bought a Toshiba A100-002 recently that came with a 1-year 'standard' international warranty. I've bought an "International Warranty Extension from 1 to 3 years" (code: SE5003I-PDB), since this was listed as the only 'from 1 to 3 years' warranty extension by the local (Hungarian) Toshiba website, and was also recommended by the retailer I'd bought the notebook from.

However, when I tried to register the warranty, the registration page said "The warranty agreement number you entered is not compatible with your notebook's model number." Unfortunately I'm running out of time as I only have about 24 hours left to register (it has to be registered within 30 days of purchase), and the retailer can't be reached (it's Easter).
Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

    My notebook:
    Product name Satellite A100 (PSAA9)
    Model number PSAA9E-1M9053HU

    The registration page I'm using:
    http://gulf.computers.toshiba-europ...p/vpoWarrantyRegHome.do?service=null&LNG=null

There's one thing I've just remembered which might be relevant: I registered the standard warranty with Toshiba today, and the confirmation email said it would take at a couple of days for them to process this registration. Could this be the problem? If so, what can I do?

    Thanks,
    Peter

Have you tried calling up Toshiba customer service and trying to get the warranty activated through the phone?

Not yet, but if I understand correctly, you can only call the local representative in your country (which I can't reach on a Sunday). I don't know if this is true though.
