My problem is that after installing the Realtek driver from Toshiba support site i didn't get the Waves Audio with it and the sound is so much different!

So is there anyone that had install win7 and menage to get the Waves Audio on it, please help?

I've had perform a clean install. I didn't use the Toshiba software installer i've install the drivers manually!

I don't own a X305, so I didn't understand what you meant by "waves audio"
But if low and weak sound is your problem you might wanna check whether all speakers are working.
It's a known issue with X205(which i own) and X305 series, only 2 stereo speakers work in windows 7, the smaller speakers and woofer don't.
Many people are facing the same problem( http://laptopforums.toshiba.com/t5/...9;jsessionid=3E059013488FFD95AAAF5907C1887D3B)
    but no solution yet...

I remember when i had this laptop and this problem with Win 7 RTM.

I fixed it by uninstalling the new sound driver completely and restarting, then installing windows vista driver in compatibility mode from the Toshiba driver page. Waves should be installed now. Then restart again and update to the latest driver without uninstalling the old one.

It is like an add-on for the sound driver which enhances the quality and clarity of the sound it outputs, Works amazingly well.

I couldnt be without it when i had the laptop.

Thanks to everyone i have the maxxaudio now!

Let my share what i've done!

@ kurtcocaine - all of the speakers work fine and i've read that thread before posting but that is not my case!

@ Sinless - The first time i've install the drivers i left windows do it but no waves audio and since then i'm trying to get it.

@ Mickbt26 - I've tried to install the drivers for vista 64 before i post for help, but no waves audio and i gave up trying this way. But because you say you got it this way i've tried again, no success again and then i unpacked the win 7 and vista driver and compared the folders Vista 64 both of them have the maxxaudio.dll strange why I didn't get the control panel maxxaudio tap when installing them so I removed everything realtek from windows folder and the registry, install again the win7 driver but from the extracted folder and with administrative privileges and after restart got the maxx audio tap! Thank you for making me try it again cus' i was about to go back to vista.

Guess I've messed up something the first time!

Well glad it worked out for you.. If u ever find out how to fix the "all speakers not working" issue, lemme know..
Getting very annoying, not being able to enjoy the full potential of my X205..

Glad you got it working now though.
