I have a Toshiba Satellite P100. It's been over a year, and it's starting to get pokey, so I'd like to re-format the HD and re-install the operating system, but when I boot it up, there is no Toshiba splash screen, it just goes straight to Windows (XP). I therefore can't get to the cmos setup to get it to boot from the CD and use the disk at came with it. Esc, F1, F4, F8, C after turning it on don't work. Anyone have any suggestions?

Removed the battery and ram modules as well. No joy. Anyone?

Found it. Add another monitor, (or a TV). For some reason, the video signal was defaulting to the other, rather than the primary. Change the settings, re-boot and problem solved.

    What a helpful community.
