Hi guys. I am hoping I can find some help here.

I just recently put my laptop on my desk and the battery is full..connected to the outlet. I have it on High performance mode and I hear a whine coming from the computer that is bugging the hell out of me. I am just wondering what it is ? Yet I put it on Balanced mode(Its on that right now) or Power saver and it goes away ? Thanks if anyone can help me.

Could be your CPU. What type do you have?

It is pretty common, actually. My HP does it. It is supposedly the CPU. The three possible solutions are:
    • Loss of hearing due to age or injury (ala loud music)
    • Tinitus (a constant ringing/whine)
    • Headphones/Earplugs

Try using RMClock to decrease the voltage going to your CPU. It will take some trial and error (it took me about an hour to get mine right) but it may stop the whining... and decrease your temps while increasing your battery life.
