I was looking all over the city and the only ones that everybody seemed to stock were just teal colored ones? Needless to say, I was pretty set on buying this PC so I have a teal M70-SR6.

What can be done to change the color?

On Toshiba's website the M70s are black.

Do you think I could get Toshiba to send a silver or black plate and get an authorized service center to put it on?

when i bought my m60 i was thinking the exact same thing. i was set on getting the sunlight copper color (wanted it sooo bad...sweet looking bright orange) but all they had was the mist grey. as time progressed...i noticed that different versions of the m60 had different colors. ie my m60 is the BK3 version, theres a CD4, and several others. the CD4 has the blue (or the teal color as you mentioned) and another version with a celeron processor has the sunlight copper. i dont know if thats how it works but thats the trend ive been noticing at various stores. ive looked everywhere, ebay, toshiba website, and a couple others but they dont sell just the outer casing. if there is a way to get them do tell, im willing to fork out a hefty sum of cash if thats what it takes. everytime i see sunlight copper i drooll..

i think i saw an m70 with a celeron processor with the sunlight copper

Hahaha! I'm the exact opposite of you. I got the sunlit copper color but really wanted the mist gray badly. I ordered my notebook from Costco and they didn't list the color and I assumed because mine was a new, high end model, it would be in black.
