I have had my toshiba m30 for 1,5 years now and it has served me well. But now it has weird problem. Whenever I boot and move the screen (back or forward) it hangs.

My friend suggest me it has smthing to do with VGA card.
I had been rough to my VGA indeed, OC'ed.

but if the VGA is the problem, it should be nothing in screen at all isn't when I boot. But it boots fine only if i move the screen it will hang.

And also if VGA is the problem then I have to change mobo also, is it? USD 600 will be gone D'oh

    Any input appreciated :(

Perhaps the computer isn't hanging at all. It may just be a loose connection, and when you move the screen, the connection breaks. If your still under warranty, then Toshiba should be able to repair the notebook. If this is the case, then make sure you clock the graphics card to the original speed.

If your out of warranty, then you could try repairing the notebook yourself. If you fell you can dismantle the notebook to a certain extent, then you should be able to find the connting wire, and see where it connects to the motherboard or graphics card. Make sure it is plugged in firmly, and then check the other side of the cable, which connects to the LCD panel. I hope this helps.
