    there's this pretty nice deal at Best Buy, and it involves the Toshiba Satellite A85.
    but the problem is, despite all my efforts on locating some information on this laptop, i have been unable to find anything on it

    does anyone have any information on this?

    Acutally, I believe this is one of Toshiba's brand new units. It may take a while for information to become available. There are some users on this site that have already purchased the unit. You may want to check for their threads and drop them a line.

    I just bought one myself. I'm a network admin for a college.

    This is a great little unit for easy use. I added 512 Mb RAM for better performance.

    The only thing that tripped me up is that fact that in order to get the internal wireless card to work you have to flip a tiny microswitch on the front of the unithidden belwo the green status lights (disks etc.)

    I like it alot now !
