I just downloaded 174.31 and I hear 174.50 or 174.44 ,I'm not sure, is out, and also in the games forum they say 169.xx is the best. I see a huge improvement with 174.31 in my games especially COD4, but the stock drivers that came with this computer could do AA max on Oblivion without looking like a slide show and the 174.31 struggles when I turn on antiailising to 8x on Oblivion, What gives? and can people who own the x205 sli1 who actually tried the different drivers tell me which is the best performing one. thanks

These drivers have given me the best 3dMark06 score so far... sorry i dont have my specific results to post as I just reformatted, but as far as gaming goes the 169.61 drivers have worked the best for me. If you search around a bit youll find quite a few threads that discuss these drivers so you shouldbe able to find some specific benchmarks if thats what youre looking for.

have you tried the 174.31 drivers? and is the 169.61 ,official or certifide drivers from Nvidia? I hear that 174.31 are certifide drivers, whatever that means, I could be mistaken I'm new to this stuff. so please don't mind me asking so much questions. Also I notice your pic is an x205 model, do you own the sli1?

I just went from the stock drivers to 167.59 and have found them to work flawlessly with FSX. Also, no problems running the Toshiba HDDVD stock software.

Are there any advantages to using the 174.xx drivers?

the 174.31 drivers are the first ever drivers I downloaded from stock and I noticed a huge performance increase in Call of Duty 4 I can actually max the settings and it won't be as sluggish as the stock drivers were at max, although I do observe that it's not so good with antiailising and it's weird that the stock drivers were more smooth with 8x antiailising turned on in Oblivion. Still I prefer these drivers just for the performance they give me in Call of Duty 4. Also I went to the toshiba site download and updated the hddvd to the one posted now I don't have to switch off sli and it'll be able to play with sli enabled and I'm thinking 174.31 updated the nvidia control panel so when you choose between sli enable or disable you don't have to restart. it'll do a real quick version of some sort of restart then ask you if you want to keep your settings just click yes. Ntune and Nhancer are also nice upgrades to the nvidia control panel, they give you overclocking and temp monitoring, I really want to try the new drivers 174.44, 174.50 or 169.44 just to see if they can really smooth out Call of Duty 4, but just waiting to see if someone else posts results as to what driver works best with x205 sli1 because I'm nervous about changing the drivers again without using cleandriver pro. I havent downloaded that program just because I noticed it doesn't say it's compatible with Vista. So finally before I check on this post again I heard about Vista Service Pack 1 somewhere on these forums and was wondering, since it's not released yet how hard would it be to uninstall the SP1 Candidate release or Vista hotfixes if I was looking to download those before the official Service pack comes out, and would it be a good idea to install them, being that the x205 sli1 is an sli system. Hope that makes sense.

but how does it compare to 174.31? and can you play Call of Duty 4 on Maxed out settings with the 169.44? with the 174.31 I got 3dmark6 score of 7136. I'm curious what the other owners of x205 sli1 gets with this and the different drivers so I can change it to the highest scoring one. I just reformatted my computer using the recovery disk so I no longer have 3dmark6 installed and I'm contemplating if I should download again being the amount of disk space it takes up.
