    I would think that they wouldn't skimp on that part...

    I'd say it's at least a 72% gamut screen.

    By the way, is plugging in the external monitor a short process for both Windows and Mac? I was under the impression that for Windows laptop you have to fasten the the cable by tightening two little sticks and untighten it when you want to take out the laptop for its portability. What about for Mac? Is the miniport just plugging? No tightening process necessary?

    By tightening process I assume you meant ports like DVI-D port or VGA port?
    There is no such port on this laptop. For HDMI port it is pretty much just plug in.
