I just bought a satellite m205-s4806 and I was wondering what software (bloatware) I should keep. There is a bunch of stuff that has Toshiba in the name and I don't want to mess anything up by getting rid of something that I shouldn't. Also there are some desktop icons for stuff that isn't listed in the add/remove program such as eMusic, shutterfly, photoworks, lojack. Are these just links to websites that I can just delete or are there programs on my computer that I need to get rid of. I don't want to do a clean install because I am sure I would screw it up but I don't want all the unnecessary crap. Thanks a bunch.

Make recovery discs and clean install. If you screw up (unlikely), use the recovery discs.

Or your could try some of the programs and see what you like - then remove the rest with the Add/Remove Programs panel. If you can't get them uninstalled, you can always delete them manually, or clean install like Lithus said.

    Cheers...
