What type of DDR3 ram does the Toshiba NB505-N500BL D3 use?

I just wonder if it uses the same as my Sony notebook uses which is a DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500)

It doesn't say on Toshiba's website about what speed of DDR3 it uses.

    It uses 1066 MHz. d00d

    I just upgraded mine

It had a single SODIMM of 4 GB 1066 DDR3 ram, I bought another Kingston 4 GB 1066 MHz. and it works great :D

This is a netbook not a notebook so it can only go upto 2 GB. I was just wondering what type of DDR3 ram it uses but it looks like it's the same as my Sony notebook. Meaning it's DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500)

Unless can netbooks go more than 2 GB? Like if I put one 4 GB stick will it goto 4 GB?

But I do need to know if this netbook uses DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) type ram.

    Thanks

See this thread in the Toshiba support forum. It appears that this netbook may use either DDR2 or DDR3 depending on when it was manufactured but since you (the OP) says "NB505-N500BL D3" then you need DDR3.

Don't lose sleep over the RAM speed. The modules contain the timing data for at least 3 different speeds and the BIOS will automatically select the fastest speed supported by the module and the chipset. You may find that 1333MHz RAM is slightly cheaper since it is now the mainstream product.
