The R600 uses the 9400, and I just noticed that ours will be delivered with Vista Business and the 32/64 bit option. XP 'downgrade' media is also provided.

So... assuming memory is maxed, will Vista 64 bit be significantly faster than XP 32 bit? Are there any reasons other than speed to pick the Vista 64 option?

Only for 64 bit applications. Otherwise, probably slightly slower, although if the program is being limited by ram (e.g. needs more than 3 gb) then 64 bit Vista may be better. However few applications outside of working with huge graphics files require this.
