When will Toshiba Satellite P105-S9312 come out?

Anyone know when the Toshiba Satellite P105-S9312 be avaliable for purchase? I've tried amazon.com, compusa.com and pcmall.com but all the sites only say that the laptop is not in stock.

 

I asked the same question a few threads down. All we really know at this point is that the press release said it would be available in July, so sometime this month, but no more details.

 

The status of the P105-S9312 at compusa.com just changed so now it says delivery in 1-2 days. Store stock has currently changed from "Coming Soon" to "Out of Stock", so I assume that means it should be available in stores too. BestBuy.com doesn't list the P105 at all though.

 

I think they came out yesterday or the day before that because i bought one yesterday.

I got my P105-S9312 about 3 days ago from a compusa near my house. The store ordered 3, I called in the morning and they said they only had 2 left, and when I got there they only had 1 left. So far it has worked flawlessly and I have had no problems running all my programs on it. Only problem is the front cover is a metallic copper color I was hoping for a black one but it's not so bad.

 

hows the heat?

 

Just checked CompUSA.com, and it is now listed as "In Stock" at the three closest stores to me, with "Limited Quantities" at the 4th closest. So, seems like it is finally showing up for real. I am still not sure if I'm ready to pull the trigger on it though, I'd like to hear some more user reviews, etc.

 

I have the p100 st9212 heat is manageable but buy a laptop cooler for around 15 dollars it really helps with the heat which in turn I am sure will help with longevity, so invest invest invest! And it is listed ships in a few days so.............

 

So far heat has not been an issue at all. I had the computer on my lap for over 1 and 1/2 hours without any discomfort. The fan turns on only for a brief second or two at times but it has never been on continuously for more then 5 seconds I would say. I feel a little bit of heat near the left palm rest at times but it is barely noticeable.
I haven't really done anything graphic intensive yet, I played through the demo of Prey and didn't notice any heat at all. So far, the laptop has been pretty good. Still wish I could get a different colored cover though.

 

I just pre-ordered one from Amazon, and their estimated ship date is September 18, 2006. I sure hope that's a mistake, given the info here.
