    After discussions here, that looks like the right choice for me - but I won't again buy a laptop without seeing and trying it.

    I've seen comments indicating that it's 'released' in the U.S., but where is it?

    you can buy it from Toshiba's official site but i dont think you'll be able to find it in store

    The R600 is a really nice notebook though.
