I have a toshiba Qosmio G10 that seems to boot but has no display at all, just a black screen. Not sure what the problem is or where to start looking.
    Running windows xp media center
    1 gig ram
    HDD not sure
    nvidia G-force fx
    intel centrino
    Any help would be great.

Sounds like either the GPU has died or the LCD backlight has gone. How old is it?

2005. Done allot of reading this weekend and I'm leaning toward the motherboard if this sounds right. Could not get anything on an external monitor, and do not see anything on the screen in the slightest to make me think its the back light. It seems to boot up and I can hear the chimes when it's finished. Also swapped the ram around to no avail, can't even get the bios to show..
    Thanks for the reply Mickbt26.
