    Hi Guys I am new to the community and would like quick responses from you guys as the tax free weekend is this weekend i need to purchase a laptop.

    Unable to decide whether to go with Toshiba A505-S6965 or HP dv6-1245dx

    I am worried abt the battery in Toshiba with the faster processor and GPU and not sure abt the overheat.

    I like to do multitasking, video editing n watching Hi def movies.

    EDIT: With the HP the problem is the GPU I have seen that when we try to watch a movie and move the cursor to some position the pixels break up(in VLC media player, very annoying), i guess it is because of the GPU. How about in discreet graphics card does it happen?

    EDIT:I am not looking at playin games though I got PS3.

    One of my frnd has HP model n the battery life is unbelievable, but i guess that can be solved for Toshiba by purchasing a higher end battery later on. I kind of like the HP as I had one earlier but it broke within a yr and the customer service was very awkward n not helpful at all(have any idea abt Toshiba support?) but the style n sleek of design that HP makes keeps me dragging to buy even after such hassle.(For that laptop I was offered a new one by Best Buy)

    can any one let me know how long the battery back is for Toshiba who got that model. I am looking at this model to be purchased from Best Buy.
