I'm headed back to school to get my MBA degree. I will work on excel a lot, word etc. I will do some pictures. I am not interested in games. I would like a 14" screen, at least 200 GB hard drive (preferably 250), and 2 - 3 GB memory. It has to be reliable since I will be transporting it everyday from home to school and back.

Originally, I was looking at Sony VAIO CR but heard not a lot of good comments on the forum. But a friend of mine says that their support services are good.

So what do you think? Everybody seems to be recommending ThinkPad or Dell. Yesterday someone mentioned Toschiba. I'm seriously getting a headache. Are they all good and is it just a matter of personal preference? Or are some better than others? Help!

I can't help you with your Toshiba laptop decision but I can tell you for fact that Sony's tech support is borderline average to not very good. I speak from experience as I use to work in the VAIO group several years ago.
