I'm looking for a Toshiba notebook, most likely used [FleaBay, CL, or this forum] but not sure which model. I'm thinking Satellite U200-205?
Bold items are absolutes, or I'll stick w/my IBM X31, love it but I want a mouse pad too.

    Needs:
    Non-Tablet
    sub 4.5 lb
    Intel Duo or Pent Cent
    12" wxga
min 2gb ram, min 80gb hdd
    dvd-cd multi-burn
    internal wireless
    internal Blutooth
    Illuminated keyboard [Thinklight]

Very flexible on ram and hdd type, though it would be nice to have 2.5" pata type due to wide availability.

    Thanks for your consideration,
    Patrick

If you want a laptop with an illuminated keyboard, you basically have only two choices: yet another ThinkPad or a MacBook Pro.

That said for a non-tablet laptop with a 12.1" 4:3 XGA LCD (WXGA is n/a), internal wi-fi and bluetooth *and* an illuminated keyboard, check out Lenovo's latest ThinkPad X61. Toshiba still doesn't make a strong contender that can truly beat the ThinkPad.

One more thing PATA 2.5" HDDs are freaking old-sk00l. Most every modern laptop currently shipping has a SATA HDD.
