My friend needs help but I can't think of anything.

So, she turns on the computer, but oddly the power light is on while the Satelite logo isn't. The computer starts up fine up until the Vista finished booting. When the Vista logo should appear with the sound, the screen goes completely white. There is no sound that plays when the logo appears either. She has already tried the warranty and gave it to a Toshiba Repair Center nearby, but they claim they've tried it for a week with no problems. When she got it back, she started it up three times all resulting the white screen.

    The model is: A200-AH5
With: Intel T2450 2.0, 1GB RAM and a 120GB HDD. Any ideas? All help is appreciated :)

She gave it to a nearby Repair Center, which I think isn't directly affiliated with Toshiba...I suggested so since Toshiba has bad claims for their warranty. What do you think?

Edit: My friend told me Toshiba doesn't replace a laptop, unless it's under a replacement plan. Is that true? If so she bought her laptop two months before, and Toshiba refuses to give her a replacement plan in addition to her service plan, or switch between the two.
