    Hi guys,

My friend has a Toshiba M60 - 183. I am not going to go into details with all the problems he has had with this laptop since he bought it. but the good thing is that he has managed to get them all sorted out while still in warranty.

However, in the last month his laptop LCD screen has started to develop white vertical lines. He has one initially, today he got a second one.

I have some experience with notebooks, so I know the problem is with the LCD screen, but I don't know which of its components. So my question is, which of the following parts need replacement in order to fix the issue?

    - is it the LCD screen itself
    - the LCD cable
    - the LCD inverter

    ?

    I don't think it's the inverter.

I think the inverter just converts DC to AC to power the backlight.

    Try reseating the cable.
