OK! Yesterday I came home and noticed my wife's Satellite had these funny white lines on the Windows login screen.

I entered her password, and reset the system which causes WAY more of these white lines and a funny hissing or screeching sound from the speakers.

I noticed her computer was much hotter then normal so I powered down and took it out to the garage and blew it out with air. Sucker was FILLED with dust, clumps of cat hair etc. Cleaning it out completely fixed the heat issues.

This morning she turned it on and it started to randomly make the hissing and screeching noise again.

Thoughts? I have heard this noise before. It did it about 8 months ago when it was plugged up with crap and getting hot. I'm not staying the two are directly related, just seems to be the timing.

    Thoughts?
