Okay, so I have owned two Qosmio Laptops so far. One is an X70, my currently used old laptop, and my even older Qosmio X505 with I think it was a lol GeForce 460m GPU. I still have that one as well and both work fine, by the way. Anyway, even the "newer" Qosmio, it is incredibly dated. It has a 770 GPU, and that isn't nearly enough 8 years later! I know Toshiba stopped making gaming laptops a little after my X70 launched, but being in the market for a new gaming laptop, I was wondering if the Toshiba community here knows anything about possible future gaming laptops. I can always go with an MSI or Asus, of course, but since I loved both these Toshiba laptops in their day, I would like to see if maybe they are getting into gaming lappies again.

No, the Qosmios were beasts in their time. I wish they would revamp them again with possible an 18.4 inch desktop replacement.

Its not happening as Toshiba no longer makes laptops anymore. Too bad though i owned 2 Toshiba laptops in the past.

As others have said, Toshiba has exited the laptop scene. I really was a fan of their early Qosmios with the absolutely ridiculous design aesthetics and really amazing in your face harmon/kardon speakers.
-
I would buy another in a heartbeat. -
Yeah I agree with the consensus. The Qosmio was a great gaming line, and as @Raidriar said, the beautiful design of their machines combined with the Harmon Kardon speakers were awesome. I liked the line a lot better than the Asus, MSI, etc. machines at similar price tags. Both of my Qosmios I listed above still work, but not by a lot lol. It looks like I may have to go with an Asus for a laptop if I want to buy into one this summer. Not sure about XoticPC, though. Last few times I was there, they seemed a little pricey for the builds they sell.

With SHARP now owning the DynaBook brand and making DynaBook for business users focus market, it's just a matter of time that they might churn out products for consumer use market some other time... it's just when?
-

so far SHARP is focusing on the business segment with the DynaBooks on some markets. consumer segment products not seen yet.
so... for consumer segment products like Qosimos won't be happening soon.
if you're getting a gaming gear, it's best now you look elsewhere on what others can offer than sticking onto the marque that you had been loyal and believing on......until the day Toshiba‘s Qosimos name gets a revival by another non Toshiba company like SHARP or others.
the fallen Fujitsu is now relying on their 13inch ultra portable makes to draw attentions from buyers of business sectors with just few models like DynaBooks as well...
Will Toshiba Ever Make Gaming Laptops Again?
