I have a toshiba satellite u305 s5127 notebook that I have dual booted to XP (sp2). I can not find the driver for the modem. Toshiba would not help and told me to contact microsoft. Microsoft said to contact Toshiba. I (think) it is a soft modem. After fighting with the dual boot my thinking process to shot!

You should be able to find the name of the modem in Device Manager. Right Click on My Computer and select Properties, then select the Hardware tab, and then Device Manager. There should be a category called Modems.

When I did it for my X205, the modem was called "Toshiba Software Modem". Hope this helps.
