    I recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite L505-S5990 laptop with W7HP pre-installed.
Since it came in English and my first language is Spanish  , I want to reinstall Windows 7 in that language, and also rid myself of all the crapware (you wouldn't believe how slow it behaves sometimes, wasn't Windows 7 faster than Vista? :( )
I already have an installation DVD of Windows 7 in Spanish, all I need is the Toshiba certificate in order to activate the laptop after reinstall. Can somebody point me to a Toshiba certificate?

luis - I'm not familiar with the certificate you mention. You should be able to re-install Win 7 from an upgrade DVD and activate it with the activation code on the bottom of your Toshiba. I've done it numerous times - although you will likely have to call MS to activate it. The call takes five minutes or so and you will be connected with an "automated assistant". I'm typing this on my Acer 1410 which I just activated this way last week. Good luck...

It's not legal to distribute OEM certificates/or/keys.

But you could back up your personal OEM key and certificate before you reinstall Windows, using, for example this utility - http://directedge.us/content/abr-activation-backup-and-restore (look at the bottom of the post for version with Windows 7 support).
