Actually I re-managed to install Vista on my Satellite M45-S265, there was a little hardware problem, which makes vista freezes on the boot screen, the problem was that Texas Instruments and 1394 were not supported by vista, so I deleted all these incompatible drivers and finally Vista was working, and on my 2GB RAM it was running very fast including Visual Studio 2008 and SQL SERVER 2005. I think Toshiba is responsible for this problem, since all computers can run all versions of window no matter its supported or not. I had many previous problems with this laptop, once I replaced the Harddisk and now I'm having DVD-ROM problems??? I'll never buy a toshiba laptop anymore, I think I'm going for IBM Lenovo these guys give you support even for Linux based systems.
