    Ok this is becoming a bit worrying now...

    CPU temperatures are peaking at 99 degrees C when ;

    1.Converting Video
    2.and playing games for an hour or 2 in a run (GPU peaks 84 max)

    and it peaks 84C when doing a Virus Scan for a few hours.

    This is not normal is it?

    I can't clean the CPU fan either as the VENT is blocked by a piece of film and it voids warranty to open and clean the fan :(

    Is that film normal? Sounds a bit suspect to me. I would say those temperatures aren't good, ensure plenty of ventilation and depending on what games you play maybe consider a notebook cooler.

    The film is normal. Been confirmed in a previous thread that removing it makes temperatures even hotter.

    Thing is, i've had this laptop since New year, only cleaning I can/have done is clean out the GPU vent of the dust that has gathered. The GPU hit 92 at one point, after cleaning it now only peaks 84. (GPU did not have the film blocking vent which is why I was able to get a hoover and clean it out).

    99c CPU peak is way off the safe range. Thermal spec for C2D's are 100c.

    1c more and you could boil water with your cpu core.

    I suggest sending it in to warranty repairs to get the overheating checked out.
