When I game on this laptop, my right hand gets burning hot from the exhaust vent for the GPU. Is it just me or does my card run extra hot? Another thing that bothers me is the majority of USB ports are right where I use the mouse! So I had to go out and purchase a USB hub thats a pita if you need top plug in a device such as a externall hdd.

The temperature can get hot while gaming. Get a program like HWMonitor to monitor the temps.

negative...i have an 8700M GT and the only time i see temps over 60 C for the gpu is when i'm playing crysis or COD4...other than that, most of the time it stays around 45-50 C. no overclock on the graphics card either.

After looping 3D Mark 2005 3 times I see a max temp of 73C. Maybe my hand is too close to the vent, but that where it feels comfortable. Toshiba needs to design a removable vent cover to redirect the hot exhasut away towards the rear of the machine.

I am running X205-SLI1.. When running SLI optimized games it does have a pretty warm blowoff.. but you'll notice it cools down almost immediately when you shut games down.. just good ventilation.. as long as your core temp remains low I wouldn't be worried.. as for your hand, maybe an icy beverage
