I'm assuming I have a problem. My battery charge light stays on all of the time while plugged in to ac power. Had a similiar problem with an Asus laptop and it turned out to be the battery. How is Toshiba about battery replacement? Bought this thing at Circuit City, and would hate to have to return the laptop for just a battery.

Where are you talking about? On the NB or on the adapter. If you are talking about on the NB, on mine I notice that it was first orange when I first plugged it in. It stayed orange for a couple of hours then it turned red like all the other LEDs. That's normal. All NBs have a LED that show if the battery is charging or good to go. Dell's blink when charging and stay solid when fully charged. Although their's is green.

I know Toshiba did pick a bad color for the X205. I believe their other models is blue. Our culture taught us red is bad. But in the case of that LED, it's good.

When you unplug the NB the LED should go out. I just did it.

This is my first Toshiba in a long time. The battery LED turning red when fully charged seems odd to me... My Asus goes out when charged. Going out....turning blue or green, anything other than turning red seems normal to me.
Ah, never mind, just did the last thing I always do in these situations, I read the manual  . It's normal to glow red when fully charged..

Yep, when I plugged it back in the LED lit up and went to orange. Have to go, testing out HDMI right now. Later

Oh mine, these product guys must take a marketing lesson.
Don't they know the tried-and-tested consumer associations that green is good to go...
(at least turn it off instead of glowing red!)

Yea, that's how Toshiba does things. On my P105 when my battery is charging the light turns Amber but when its done charging it stays blue. It's one of the annoyances you get used to.

Yep, thats what my A100 does. On Hp's, when it's charging, it's steady blue, when it full, it goes out. I personally prefer the amber to blue.
