Hey All, was playing around with some drivers and ran across a bios update from Toshiba adding support for the new Penryn CPU's released today, mentioning some workarounds and updates for thermal issues, etc.... looks very promising! Might be a good upgrade route when available!

Well I just updated my X205 S9349 Bios from V1.90 to V2.10 so far i have no problem with it.
But i think i will go with my original plan and just upgrade the CPU to the T7700
    The T8100 and T8300 with 3mb L2 cache won't be faster then the T7700
according to the list test below .
The T9300&9500 probably will be expensive and not worth that few % extra speed/money with 6Mb L2cache .
Here is a link for the Mobile CPU tests.

I wish Toshiba would add more options to the Bios like deactivate the energy saving options for the CPU to make it run fast all the time etc.

What, I do is use a usb floppy and have the utility create a floppy to do the upgrade and when you reboot just pres F12 at boot up to and select usb floppy as the boot device and let is complete the upgrade process, I found this to be best and safest way to upgrade the bios on any computer.

You can also use the CD-Upgrade method, that's how I did it.
