    Hi all.

This trackpad is giving me some problems. When I slide my index finger to move across the screen and etc... the trackad selects misc things. It's becoming a pain in the butt.

I looked in control panel and theres no settings in the mouse area and disabled all the pen and input devices.

Still can't get the trackpad to stop selecting things.

    Thanks for any tips...

I'm running XP, but using the same Synaptics driver. You should be able to get into the Synaptics settings through the Mouse settings in control panel. There are settings for sensitivity, and one called "palm check" that helped in my case.

Experiment with the settings, and you can probably dial in a balance between sensitivity and usability. I usually use an external mouse, so I have my touchpad set to only work if I really press down hard.
