I don't need restore data, as I have discs, and have been running both Vista and XP on my machine.

However, both of my Drives have hidden, system volumes on them. What is on them, and how do you access it???

    Thanks

A system volume is created on every hard drive Windows accesses. Don't worry about it and don't try to alter it. Just keep it hidden and forget about it.

If you just want to learn more about it read this Microsoft article.
