I had this problem since june and can never use the computer since june. Toshiba said it was a motherboard and videocard problem which they say it will cost 1300 dollars.( total bull) I just dont understand how letting my battery die cause my computer to completely die. So im just getting a m17x.

Any one have any other methods i should try besides re-seating the memory and taking the battery out?

Not really. If the motherboard or GPU is dead, that's it. Unless you are willing to pay for the replacement, then you can't get it fixed, unless you a extremely experienced, and can resolder the motherboard or GPU.

    Yep. she's fried my man.

if you really wanna put her back together, Ebay's normally got some decent
deals on the Mobo and the Video card that should be at least a few hundred dollars less then what "Sheeba" says
