Recently i was playing DeadSpace with headphones and noticed that the monsters kept coming from the opposite direction their sound was coming from so i decided to investigate in the game menu and tested left and right.

When i tested right, the left played and when i test left, the right played. At first i thought it was just the game, so i exited the game and tried with the rest of the computer and it was the same.

I then unplugged my headphones and noticed that the speakers on the laptop are in the right way, just the audio jack.

I would use earphones and just switch them around but i like my headphones and i can't exactly put those the other way around.

Can someone please help reverse the audio jack to the right way?

Are your headphones "earbuds" and do you have the correct speaker on each ear? Headphone jacks can't reverse themselves.

I have headphones which can only be put on one way
I also have earbuds, currently i'm using the ear buds and i just reverse the ear buds.

I don't know why but it just happened, lol the audio jack shouldn't be able to reverse themselves but it somehow did, the headphones i use is the type that goes aroudn the back of your head so you can't really flip those around unless you're seriously retarded.

If you only use your headphones for your pc then you could always cut the cord and rewire them backwards.

lol maybe a retard wired them incorrectly. Do you have an equalizer program or something that can play a sound through each channel and you can see on your earbuds if the left channel is playing out of the left earbud and the right channel on the right earbud? I believe in the Windows sound properties that you can adjust the volume of each channel. Turn one of the channels off and see if the correct channel is on the correct earbud (if they are marked).

Lol yuh that was the first thing i did, but something more pressing has just happened. This is now the least of my worries, my vista just went haywire. Take a look at this thread "http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=4132567#post4132567"

I'll fix this later, thanks for helping though.
