Sorry for the noob question, but I looked and couldn't find an answer anywhere.

I recently ordered some RAM to upgrade my X205-SLi1 with, but after the fact.. I realized I had accidentally ordered DDR2 800 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231156 ).. and the stock RAM is DDR 667.

Simple question.. does this laptop support DDR2 800... or am I going to have issues?

    Thanks

It does not support DDR2-800. Any 800 MHz RAM will run at 667.

No issues, just that it will run at 667 mhz, so you're wasting money, if you can, exchange it for a 667 mhz, cheaper memory... Or stick with it as it can be used in a future laptop supporting 800 mhz...

DDR2 800 is supported, but runs at 667MHz. You may be lucky and get RAM with a SPD table that has enhanced timings for the RAM @ 667MHz.
