So I've had my x205-Sli1 for about 2 weeks now. I installed XP on it, have all the latest drivers and windows service packs (or so I think).. It was running fine for a while (and still runs good). However, I keep getting this error...

My system will be running fine.. after running it all night or so.. all of a sudden the internet will stop working. Like, I will load a new page and nothing happens. I won't be able to refresh any pages or anything. My AIM will go out, and basically I can't connect to anything on the internet (even though it still shows me as connected).

So I will reboot, which usually corrects the problem.. however lately when this happens and I reboot. I get a blue screen: SBDSS.sys Stop error. So I reboot and upon reboot I get the black screen: CMOS Checksum Error, or bad. Press F1 to continue. I press F1 and windows loads up fine, except my time is reset and I have to fix it. Everything runs perfectly fine until maybe 24 hours later when this happens again. Sometimes I will wake up and it will be stuck on the CMOS Checksum error without having gone to a blue screen.

I've done tons of searching online and cannot find an answer to this. Most say that a CMOS Checksum error has to do with the CMOS battery needing to be replaced.. but could this be the case since my laptop is only a few weeks old?

It could be a conflicting driver somewhere but I am at a complete loss as to where to start looking. I've had to reinstall XP about 5 times already since I got this system, and over the past week have spent getting all my software/drivers/etc in order. Please don't tell me I need a fresh install of XP....

I also tried updating the bios but the 1.90 BIOS for the X205 is for Vista only? I have that installed..... I tried downgrading to the 1.80 and 1.60 BIOS but it wont install saying I have a newer version.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.. thanks
