Yes...Im new to this forum type thing, and my searches havent yielded much info. My question is this: Do only newer games utilize Sli when it is enabled? I noticed that when I play some games with sli enabled, only of the Gpu's seems to be doing any work. (Temp. is up only on one of the Gpu's). But when I play other games, both of the Gpu's heat up. Am I missing something? Does it only used the other Gpu when it needs it?
Any info would be great...Thanks

which games are you playing that heat up both or only one?? check if there sli compatible, im guessing some of those games arent so theres no need for both of them to be at full power. but this is only a guess im not too sure, this would just make sense to me

Download nHancer, a quality tool for changing game and general settings for your SLI card. There is an option "Show Load Balancing Graph" (I believe this can be accessed through nVidia Control Panel also). If this graph is shown at all in your program, SLI is in action. In my experience some games (Counterstrike and FEAR for example) cause high loads, while others (Warcraft III TFT) utilize the SLI, but don't carry heavy loads. When playing WCIII, i've only seen the green graph jump once in a blue moon, while during CounterStrike it is constantly jumping. I think it's just dependent on the game and its own utilization capabilities.
