Whenever I seem to play a game for about an hour or two, my laptop completely shuts down. Doesn't even give the shutdown screen, just shuts off completely. I felt the bottom of the laptop to check and it nearly burned my fingers. Any tips? Cooling problems? Anything? This was made to play games, not to shut down on you.

This is definitely a heat problem.
I would suggest taking it apart and cleaning out the heatsink and fan. Dust may have accumulated over the years you have been using it.
If that doesn't work, undervolting is an option. And you may also want to look into getting a notebook cooler. The sticky in the Accessories section of the forum should help with this. -
Alright thank you very much. I'll do this tonight

Try not to place the laptop too close to the wall or anything behind it. In most cases it will bring the heat up with not enough ventilation.

Where are the cooling fans btw? It worries me very much that I might need to take it apart.

Have you recently fresh install win7? or update bios?

Where the larger vents are. If you are uncomfortable taking it apart, there will be a fan grate on the bottom that you can blow compressed air through. Just stick a toothpick in the fan grate so it doesn't spin while you blowing it through.
And always use a can of compressed air. -
Yes I just installed win7. I have ultimate 64 bit. I'll try updating bios...
Oh ok I'll buy some. Soooo simply blowing on the back wont work? XD jk -
Nope. And by blowing in there you could get moisture in their that you do not want.
