Well it is... This is one sexy machine ! :D I wish i was in the states so i could buy it :(

    http://explore.toshiba.com/laptops/qosmio/X305/X305-Q706

NOTE: i just notice that in the page before the specs, when you select between the others x305 models, it says dual 9700GTS... So we'll have to wait to see which one is the typo...

There is one coming with dual 9800m GTX's. Also, the Q706 has 2 9800's. And, the screen is definitely a burden. All of that power can hardly be utilized at that weak resolution.

    Toshiba, where is the 1920x1200!!!!!!!!!????????

it is only running at 2.26ghz. if this baby were at 2.5 or 2.8. toshiba would not b e able to keep this instock anywhere in the world

two 9700 gts would still be quite good, this would kill a 8700m gt SLI and that saying something because the 8700 sli is still quite a sick combo. :D

I also though it was a typo but since the PDF file for the specs also says dual 9800 GTS, i think the typo is the 9700 in the first page... Anyway we need ppl who actually have the machine to clear any doubts...

There are two versions (with subvariants changing minor specs, but essentially there are two):
    1. X305-Q701 = 9700m GTS (G94 with 48 unified shaders)
    2. X305-Q706 = 2x 9800m GTS (G94 each with 64? unified shaders)

It can't find any other GPU otions for the X305.... yet.

omg this site is ****ing stupid, I just tried to post a link and apparently I'm not allowed to since I have posted more than 15 times. What kind of rule is this and what ****heads sit around and discuss how many times you need to have posted previously to be able to post a link. People are ****ing dumb!

Well I think 1440x900 is optimum for gaming and safety for your eyes. I notice I'm going blind when I game to close to the monitor because I have to squint trying to find enemies like in Call of Duty 4 multiplayer, because with higher resolutions it gets more fine details and everything gets smaller. And that's why I think most new games are coming out with xbox 360 controller support and the Toshiba x305 marketing video demos advocate using a xbox controller so you don't stare up close at the lcd to prevent your eyes going bad, so you can put the note book a safe distance away from you while you game. Infact when you lower the resolution even more the characters get even bigger so you can sit far away and see your target, this is what I do now it also gives me higher framerates and is easier on my eyes. I have to wear glasses now and I don't doubt it's because of staring at the computer monitor to close.
