Also, be honest with the Clevo resellers, most of them will be helpful even if you aren't using a Clevo. And more importantly, better to find out if it works, than to shell out and find out it doesn't.![]()

That's not a problem, I've identified this card anyway...Once other models become available, they should not be hard to buy, once you find them of course...
-
lately there has been a lot of fus around the nvidia graphic cards. is the GF 9700 GTS in the risk group of being faulty?
-
It's a G94 core so yes.

Hl
Im thinking of buying one toshiba notebook,
This is the configuration for this model here in portugal:
Toshiba Qosmio X300-119
1.440x900 17" WXGA, TruBrite
Intel Centrino® 2, Core2 Duo T9600 2.8Ghz - 1066 Mhz
4GB (1x 2.048MB + 1x 2.048MB) DDR2 (800Mhz)
S.M.A.R.T. 320GB +320GB (5.400 rpm) , SATA
NVIDIA® GeForce® 9800M GTX (1.024MB Dedicated + 1.280MB shared)
I think the problem is the low resolution screen.
What do you think? -
You wil have to wait a while to get that model. It seems like there is a delay of the 9800M GTX for all notebook makers. AFAIK anyway.
Are you sure about the resolution? The Qosmio that has the GTX usualy comes with a 1650x1050 monitor.
Do you have a link?
Usualy the 1440x900 monitor comes with the Qosmio with the 1 HDD and the 9700m GTS graphics card. -
here is the link, and they say its already available.

Tem Dúvidas Sobre Este Produto.
What does that mean? -
It means: do you have any questions about this product.
-
ok thanks. Have you tried buying it?
-
I guess i will wait for a better model...
I own a qosmio G30, it has excelent display(1920x1200) and sound.
Although it has almost 2 years its still hanging on.
Thanks anyway. -
wonder if it'll be possible to stick a Bluray drive into this notebook...
Anyone got any suggestions for SATA Bluray slim drives? -
hi iam from argentina, im new in this forum.... i was looking for this Qosmio x305 and the asus g50, my question is...can i downgrade this qosmio to XP? because i think that would be a plus in the performance of some games, that happens in my last asus with an ati 2600hd graphic card... thanks
-
To the owners of the x305, I wanted to know how long does the battery last when the notebook is unplugged. The x205 last from 45 minutes on high performance playing multiplayer Call of Duty 4 to 1hr 20 on power saver with sli disabled and brightness set to very low and only surfing the net. I was interested in picking one up but I need to know specifically how long the battery lasts and on what power setting thanks.
-
On balance it lasted about 2 hours just web browsing.
I think when playing WoW i got an hour and 15 mins.
On high performance, i end up with just under an hour when watching videos.
And My Qosmio crapped out on me, Bestbuy was nice enough to refund my $$ even though i was out of the 14 day return period. They were going to swap it for me, but they had none in stock, and no stores within 15 miles had it. So i took that $$ and bought the FX-7811 =D But yeah, the Qosmio felt a lot more durable and solid than the Gateway does right now. -
What happened to it? -
dunno, just stopped posting. No Qosmio screen or anything.
Lights come on, HD is spinning, fans are going, but nothing else. -
Sorry to hear that.
Good thing I ordered a clevo then. -
you know by each passing day I get more and more confused with 7811 or X305 !!!! I dont know which one to go for!!
-
I thought ti was ugly and too large.. i bought the smaller F55-Q502. Same stats, 200mhz less ram one gigabyte less. but a bigger harddrive. 120gb bigger
-
I believe it's arrived in Canada at Bestbuy/Futureshop.
Saw it in one of those flyers.
Looks really good.
Price is decent. -
I skimmed through the forums and didn't see this question: has anyone noticed that the right side of the keyboard and the 10key pad has very very slight give? Nothing substantial, mind you. But it is there if you press down firmly on the L key vs the S key, the keyboard in the area of the L key is a little more squishy. Again, not anything substantial.
Just want to make sure there's nothing lose in mine, cause otherwise I love this laptop. Replacing an Everex XT5000 that stopped posting.
-
Yes the numpad does have a little flex in it. Perfectly normal.
I have now ordered the x300-11s which was released only a few days ago here in the UK. -
Hey guys !
I wonder when is the X305 with the 9800m gtx and 2.8 processor coming out ?
I actually got a P7811fx but think the 9800m gtx is a little bit weak for the 1900*1200 native resolution.
Thx a lot ! -
(This is for the guy with the X305 that stopped posting)
Hey bud, I just got mine back from repair after 5 days, and originally I sent it in for the same problem you were having. The only thing that was done, was the ,"vga bd", was replaced, so there is your answer, the video card was the problem. My X305 had the same exact symptoms as yours did, so I assume the problem was one and the same. I sure cant wait for Nvidia's new updated mobile card, it should fit in my laptop quite nicely, using the defacto mobile PCI Express 2.0 X16 slot on my Toshiba...Or maybe when ATI steps up, I'll consider one of their solutions. -
I think you're mislead.. a bit. The 9800m GTX isnt in the 7811FX. This laptop uses the 9800m GTS which suprisingly posts better results than the 9800m GT, even tho notebookcheck.net shows the gt as the better of the 2. However, the 9800m GTX isn't going crush either of these 2 cards.. It should be about 15% faster than the GT/GTS, at stock clocks. Now, as far as overclocking the GTX you may have more room cause of lower clocks and more shaders. Unless, like the 8800m GTX, it just sucks at overclocking. The 7811FX is technically a better factory build than the x305..however the Toshiba allows for upgrading the GPU, CPU, and anything else you'd like to. The 7811FX's GPU is soldered to the mobo so it's not going anywhere. Went off on a tangent..sorry. Short of it is, the 7811FX is a better stock computer hands down. However, if you're looking for upgradability the x305 is the way to go. Also, x9100 CPU won't overclock in 7811FX whereas it will in the x305
- Oh, and to address your quote.. the 1920x1200 resolution runs fine on the 7811FX, and if you game just use a lower res in game. The x305 only goes 1440x900, which disappointed me but is easy to overcome with a new LCD.
-
E-Wrecked.
You say that the X9100 will overclock in the X305, I own an X300 with that same CPU, I cant overclock mine! - do you know if it wiil ever be enabled?
Do you know anything about the RAID either? - not supported!
Cheers. -
Any Info on The One with dual 9800GTS?
-
Graphics Engine
Dual NVIDIA® GeForce® 9800M GTS graphics with NVIDIA® SLI® Technology
Graphics Memory
512MBx2 GDDR3 discrete graphics memory plus up to 1663MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory using NVIDIA® TurboCache™ technology
http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/pdet.to?seg=HHO&poid=424964
does this mean it has 2 graphics card with 512memory with a total of 1024 gig of memory or does it have 2x 256 memory. -
Well it says 512x2 so i guess is 512 by each card... Logical taking in count the 9800GTS 256-bit bus...
X305. Omg!
