That just seems like a lot of $$$$ for a notebook.

If your in Europe wait a month or 2 for the NEW Qosmios to launch; Qosmio x770. They are very nice.

Though my link is translated, I post it because it has the most pictures available.

The Qosmio x770 comes with a GTX 560m 1.5GB card.

In all cases, it's just a revised version of the GTX 460m with a few tweaks (5%-10% faster). The Qosmio x770s are basically the same as the q8_100X series [like what I have].

My opinion on this is that, Toshiba probably wanted to release the new x770 with the new GTX 500 series GPUs and i7-SB CPU. However, the SB chips came out 6 months before the revised nvidia 500m GPUs.

So in a way, the x505 q8_100X series should have never existed. It was just a bridge model between the x505 q89X and x770 models.

    Ok many thanks

In that case i do not see any reason to upgrade from my "old" thrusty Qosmio X500(Europeian versjon) with i7 740 and GTX460m 1080P

Spoke to toshiba rep (uk) again today. according to the rep he didnt know anything about new toshiba model coming soon plus no qosmios in pc world either next week as told by toshiba rep and pc world customer service. well all we can do is wait again i guess which i have been doing since january. if nothing comes by end of june then i might go for new alienware 18 inch which has similar specs and price to that of toshiba. wonder why its so difficult to buy a decent gaming machine in uk... :(
