Hey folks, I am having a very weird problem with my desktop icons. They are huge and I can't seem to change that with the Personalizing Settings in Windows 7. There are three settings for icon size: Smaller, Medium, and Large but they only seem to allow me to make the icons bigger since it is already set to "Smaller."

Now the nearest I can figure out is that this has something to do with the media buttons on the left of the lappy, because the icons were their normal small size with the native resolution I have set, 1680 X 945. However, sometimes when I clean the laptop with a cloth, I end up randomly pressing media button combos and somehow this has changed the size of the icons. But I have no idea what button combinations make the icons smaller and what makes them larger. But again, this has happened to me before, and it is very annoying.

So apparently some combination of media button presses seems to change the size of my icons. Weird, I know! Any idea what those buttons are?

Or maybe it isn't media buttons but keys on the keyboard? That is possible as well.

Try holding down the CTRL key and scrolling the mouse-wheel up and down.
See if that changes the desktop icon sizes.

Keep us posted with any updates.

Thanks Alex, that worked. lol It wasn't easy, though, because I have a mousepad on my laptop and had to borrow a regular mouse from someone at the office, but I was able to fix it. Thanks again!
