Ok so I really love the specs on this laptop as I don't need a huge processor for gaming mainly in it for the GPU. But one thing that is really getting me right is the keyboard looks super cheap to me really plastic looking and I saw some threads on older models specifically the x305 model is what I read the review on and they said the keyboard was very bendy and flexible which would be really annoying while gaming. Anyway what I'm getting at is are the newer models better in this area or are they just as cheap I don't really want a sugar coated response I just wanna know will I be disappointed when I get this laptop and the keyboard feels like they spent .5% of their budget on it I'm picky when It comes to keyboards thanks!

I like the keyboard. It's the "non-island" keys. You may find the same keyboard on some Satellite models at Best Buy or Walmart.
I personally like it because it is NOT the island type keys [though they are still flat]. -
THe keyboard is really squishy on my new X500-067. It is a bi linguale french/english with no backlight. Honestly the keyboard sucks. My Dell XPS1730 has a beautiful keyboard with backlight. No squishy, very nice key shape and feel. Toshiba wants waay to much money for this laptop. I got mine for $1100.00, half price. I would have sent it right back had I paid full price. It bugs me they cheap out on stupid items like 5400RPM HDD rather than using 7200s. CHeap wireless and blue tooth modules also. THey charge high quality price but deliver low quality product. Its just plain old corporate greed. Oh and we only get 1 year warranty here in Canada too.

Ok thanks for the feedback I just feel it looks like a bad keyboard because the keys are really shiny/glossy looking with the text kind of not so clean it looks almost smudged I don't really know how to explain it. I understand all keyboards flex to some extent but I just don't want the keys to feel like they are sticking together as I play a lot of games like SC2 WoW HoN which all require excessive keyboard use and I can't have keys feeling like they stick together or flex a lot my Acer 8730-6951 has a keyboard similar to it where all the keys are next to eachother but it really has no flex at all and I love it a ton.
And if you don't mind me asking smoke where did you manage to find the laptop at half price haha I've been looking all over for a good deal the only one so far is the "student discount" on the toshiba site which is about 117 off which isn't bad but I still would like to find a better deal to get a i7 if I could afford it but I'm not looking to spend 1500 on the i7 version lol I would even go for a open box/recertified. -
Sign up for NCIX.com sales emails. They have awesome deals on laptops once in a while. I was really shocked when I saw $1000.00 off mine. I jumped right on it and bought it. They sold out all stock in hours after the sale started. Honestly I really like my Dell XPS1730 a lot. You can but one of these for $500.00 to $1000.00 in various trims and warranty. I highly reccomend one as its really a very classy machine. Its well thought out and ooozes quality.

Ya I get what you mean about the XPS but the only thing about it is that I want a high end graphics card to last me for awhile I wanna make sure I can run a lot of the newer games without having to put them on low settings my current GPU is GT 9600M so its kind of behind for new games like Just cause 2 BFBC2 and the new BF3 thats coming out which I really want to be able to play since I loved BF2 death back in the day.
