My business partner purchased an A300-05U. Her main accounting software will not install in Vista.

I installed XP 64-bit, but was unable to locate many of the drivers for XP. The only drivers on the Toshiba Canada site are for Vista.

Does anyone have info on where I could locate the proper drivers?

I suggest you try visitin the Toshiba Australia site.
There are drivers offered for a broad range of A300 notebooks.

In australia the A300 is very popular and I have seen the notebook work with windows XP. One of the drivers there should be able to help you out.

Also I know there are original recovery discs you can purchase for the A300 that load windows XP Pro on your computer. If you can purchase them which they are available in Australia, dont know Canada that will also fix your problem

    Thanks for your replies.

She's using DAC Easy version 9. Peachtree owns it now but hasn't produced a Canadian version in years. She's customized it to produce a management-style costing report for restaurants, and doesn't want to give it up yet.
