I'm trying to decide between an X205-S9810 and a PowerPro 11:15 (Compal JFL92 and Sager 2092) with almost the same specs. If you have any insight about the preference between these two, I'd be happy to hear.

    But my main questions are:
1 - Has anyone installed XP Pro on the S9810 and what is their experience with it? Problems with drivers, installation? Is it worth the effort and does running XP make that much of a difference on this machine?

2 - My last laptop is a Toshiba and the thing has a ridiculous number of Toshiba software running in Windows, like special management tools, about 3 services just to manage the power, etc. (my idle process count is 50-60! I don't have any idea why this kind of overhead is necessary). That's the main reason I would reformat + reinstall a new clean OS. Is this the same on these S9810, and if so, is it detrimental to not install or remove those services? (Talking to Toshiba support is useless...they don't know or won't tell)

Thanks in advance for your help!
