I have been able to completly update XP service pack 1 from the Microsoft site. When I attempt to do the Service Pack 2 update it fails. The installation starts ok but seems to hang somewhere around "check product keys". Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions.

Also, I can't seem to find the recovery disk - Toshiba will send it but charges around $40 for shipping but not sure it is needed.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks

In regards to the back up disks - Toshiba may have included the backup material on your HD, which you have to burn to a CD or DVD. I would call Toshiba and ask them if they included the backup materials on your HD - if they did not, I would ask them to send you a disk copy.
