Hello NBR, my dad has a super duper old toshiba satellite laptop that has the model at the back written as ps275L-4k906.

i tried to find drivers for it at the toshiba website and even searched the archive models but to no avail. Is there any way i can find them drivers?

It doesn't an inbuilt wireless adaptor...We installed a wireless adaptor card and its driver but it wasn't able to detect my network. Im trying to use the xp (home edition) wireless utility, but in network connection there isn't any. so i suspect i need a driver or something.

Anyone knows how i can go around getting it to work?

If it's pre 2001 then it probably doesnt need any xp drivers after u load xp. look in device manager for missing items (! highlighted). bet there arent any.

maybe your wireless routers ssid is hidden?

If you installed the driver disk that came with the wireless adapter, it's quite possible that the adapter manufacturer's configuration utility and the Windows wireless utility may be fighting one another for control. If you can somehow disable one, the other will most likely provide the results you're looking for.

thanks dude...i manaage to work it out...it is because i followed the instructions ie to install the drivers then plug in the card...

but a technician told me that older laptops work opposite ways...plug in the card and then install the driver. works brilliantly now.
