a105-s4004 acting strange

im new to this forum so if i sound out of place let me know,just bought this machine 2weeks ago,its been running very well,only problems so far is when you open the lid or return from standby or hibernation ,the computer goes back in to hibernation, it doesnt make sense.it does this about once or twice a day.im not sure if it is a n internal software prob,or some other setting that im missing?i am assuming this unit is very close to the s014 model, has anyone else had any issues like this? i would be very interested if anyone has .

 

ok,i will answer my own question.the reason my computer was going into hibernation after opeing lid was because the hibernation was checked as on in power settings.i was told by toshiba tech support that if i wanted to resume from standbuy after an extended time,you needed to have hibernation disabled,this was frustrating me,caues sometime after returning to my laptop i would lift lid and it would go into hibernation mode,then i would have to wait and then hit the power button again to restart,anyway prob solved,thanx anyway

 

Thanks for your own answer! I got the same problem with my brand new A100-JH2. It would go on hibernation mode when opening the lid... I too thought it didn't make sense!

I also have another related problem: sometimes, the screen goes blank after a while if it has not been used, but it never comes back, even if I press any buttons (except the power button, which will power it off). It may be related to the same problem you had, so I'll give it a try.
